FAQS

LOOPFEST is one of Shropshire’s most unique festivals. We wanted to create an event about championing musicians and artists from Shrewsbury, across Shropshire and the UK/World. What makes our event different from other festivals, such as Let’s Rock Shrewsbury, is that our focus is on bringing this Shropshire town to life by filling as many venues as possible with music and providing a fun and safe atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.
Our event for 2024 will be held between Friday 3rd and Sunday 5th May 2024. So please save the date, and let’s make it a banger.
To date, every one of our festivals has always been family-orientated and fun for people of all ages. Some venues have specific licensing conditions, but we have a range of entertainment that allows everyone to join.
LOOPFEST is held throughout Shrewsbury, and unlike the Shropshire Festivals’ Shrewsbury Food Festival or Oktoberfest, or events held at the West Mid Showground such as Heal Festival – our event is held in Shrewsbury Town Centre. Our event includes 25 venues.
We have broken sales and footfall records for two consecutive years, so it’s safe to say that LOOPFEST is one of the biggest festivals in Shropshire.

Although LOOPFEST is a free entry festival, in 2024, we’re running ticketed events at Shrewsbury Castle all weekend, from Friday 3rd May to Sunday 5th May 2024. To enquire about a Carers Pass for one of these events, we’ll need to see proof of disability, such as a PIP award or carer’s badge. To find out more about accessibility, please visit THIS PAGE and drop us a message using the form provided.

We love all animals at LOOPFEST, but most dogs won’t appreciate loud music and busy venues. Ultimately, it’s down to the individual venue and/or dog owner. Assistance dogs are welcome at all venues, but Shrewsbury Castle, St. Mary’s Church and Shrewsbury Square will be the most suitable venues due to music levels.
We have an incredible diversity of food retailers in Shrewsbury town centre, so we’re keen to support those local businesses for our event. But we will welcome a select number of Shropshire-based food traders to join us at our event, as we will provide food and refreshments at Shrewsbury Castle and St. Mary’s Church.
